That leaves the Vangelakos family splitting their time between New Jersey and a creepy, surreal life in [the] Oasis I [condo].

They’re the only ones using a well-appointed clubhouse, but they can’t watch the big plasma TV.

“We haven’t found the remote controls,” Victor said.

The condo where the family resides is the largest of Fort Myers’ high-rises, according to the local newspaper, taking up about 20 acres. Three more condos are scheduled to be built on the site in coming years.
